Still Searching!

We are still searching for recipients ( we still need 7 more Charities/Foundations ) to redirect funds we accumulate to give to.
We are still discussing which way to give to the Charites. We are divided between a Charity receiving money throughout a whole month or whether depending on vote each Charity would getl its own contribution daily. Any suggestions will help!
We have made it our target to "reach" 100,000 people. So please do not hesitate to tell your friends to "post" their own suggestions and favorite Charities.

Don't forget as soon as suggestions are received, we will post them here. So check often and suggest ideas even more so.

Thank You for participating in a in this endeavor.

Let's Help Charities

Hello, everyone,

I started 2 days ago, with the intention of "surveying" which charities would do the "most" with moneys given to them. I searched for info on "good" charities at http://www.charitynavigator.org/
and got lost in all the data. It seems one would need an MBA or a MASTERS to understand which charities are on "top" for their efficiency. I have yet to mention that the reach of these charities is an unknown( do they help only locally, countrywide or worldwide?)

With all these unknowns, we are "surveying" real people, not stats to make suggestions and therefore our choices. We are looking for 12 charities to give to ( 1 per month ) and would like your suggestions on which one or ones you would consider and why.

Our group has 2 Charities/Foundations that it sees fit to help so far;

1- Canadian Cancer Society
2- Otis Grant and Friends Foundation

The first on the list saved my stepdaughter from hodgkins disease a few years back, the second one works with the youth and has a tremendous leader in Otis Grant himself, the once WBO Middleweight Champion.

As for the next 10 Charities/Foundations that we would help, your participation would be needed. So please post your choice(s), so we can make ours.

Thank You

1Charity

Hello, everyone,

I am starting this blog in the hopes that everyone will see it, and participate. I have been working ( with a few friends) on a way to give money to charities. While giving to a Charity is not a big endeavor, we have planned giving on a consistent basis.

Therein lies the problem, which charities deserve the most attention if only a few were to be chosen? On our end, we believe a must would be to contribute to the Canadian Cancer Society for they have saved my step daughter who had leukemia.

Our group has planned to give to one society per month so that leaves 11 charities to decide or "vote" in, That's where all of you reading this come in; post up your suggestions please --- and with that we all can contribute to giving a helping hand!
